we used to get together for gaming every week, and when we did, we always ordered papa johns. We used to get 2-3 pies for the 6 of us and take some home. routinely we were billed around about 60 bucks after tip for the food but hey its a party right?
So, after we stopped getting together for board games (we started doing halo night, and we bring our own food) i used to get cravings for this pizza... banana peppers especially.
me and my roomate would split a pie 2-3 times a month and, they'd last a while. good and fairly inexpensive food over a 1-2 day period. all good.
when we called we'd say 'what specials ya got" and they'd give us one of their coupons out of the computer. it was great. :)
so sometime back in july we got this guy who rang us up a pie at retail price, 20 bucks or so... we're used to paying 11 or 12. Its frustrating. its unnerving. Its just plain crap. we pay for it at the door and swear 'never again'
i especially shouldnt be eating pizza anyways :)
so, we've had 1 pie since then, we had a coupon for it, they were np.
tonight the craving hits me and my roomate and we fish through our mail for a coupon. we call it in, and, they say they cant honor it.
what the christ? am I making this up? NO. its a real coupon that came in todays mail. it expires in 2 months. how can they not have it in the computer?
the guy on the phone has a thick accent and barely understands me, i ask for the supervisor and he makes it right after some 'talking to' about it.
but at this point my roomate is so pissed he doesnt even care any more. Its rediculous they wont honor the coupon when we first called so hed oesnt even want to give them any business at all.
I end up paying for the pie entirely cause hey i'm a nice guy and this supervisor is trying to make it right.
but, anyone else having this kind of trouble? I mean christ man, i want to buy your food... at the price you advertised! How hard can it be!
so humilating and frustrating to go through this shiat.
"well we can give you 2 toppings for 12.99" well my coupon says 11.99 for 3, on an extra large pie! How can this even compensate? jeez.
anyways, robbie, if you're a reader of boogie blog know i <3 ya for getting us a deal.
i sure hope they didnt jizz on the pizz or something :(
